Anne McIntyre FNIMH MAPA MCPP
Medical Herbalist, Ayurvedic Practitioner, Author
Anne McIntyre has been in clinical practice for over 35 years and is one of only a handful of Ayurvedic practitioners in the UK. Anne brings her confidence, wisdom and depth of experience as a longtime practitioner and teacher to her role as an educator. She has had a passion for Eastern wisdom and philosophy since her early years and provides an authentic bridge between two cultures, bringing the wisdom of the East to the mindset West in an easy and accessible way.
From her home in the beautiful Cotswolds, Anne runs a busy clinic treating patients with her own blend of Western herbal medicine and Ayurveda. She also runs regular workshops in herbal medicine, Ayurveda and foraging.
Anne is the author of over 20 books on herbal medicine and Ayurveda including: The Ayurveda Bible, The Herbal Treatment of Children; Western and Ayurvedic Perspectives, and Dispensing with Tradition: A Practitioner’s Guide to using Indian and Western Herbs the Ayurvedic Way.
Anne has been teaching Ayurveda for Westerners on both sides of the Atlantic to lay people, university undergraduates and graduates for over 25 years.
During her time both in practice and teaching Anne identified the need for easily accessible, yet in depth, courses in Ayurveda. In 2012 she launched Western Herbs from an Ayurvedic Perspective which is written for Ayurvedic practitioners and students. Anne is currently reviewing and updating this course to make it accessible online and will be launching the new version in early 2020.
Living Wisdom: The Foundations of Ayurveda was launched in 2015. This course was written and designed in collaboration with Gina Mastroluca and came out of a series of successful workshops and courses run by them both in the US and UK. Living Wisdom is a comprehensive online Ayurveda course written for people wanting to benefit their lives or practices by studying Ayurveda in further detail over a number of months.
